Radiotherapy causes of hair loss

As an approved salon for the NHS we are well versed in helping people through medical causes of hair loss.

It is a common side effect of radiotherapy, but unlike hair loss during chemotherapy, it only causes hair loss in the area being treated.

We have a great deal of experience in helping patients deal with partial hair loss and have many solutions to help you feel confident whilst going through your therapy.

Trichotillomania causes of hair loss psychological condition

An impulse control disorder and often referred to as Trich or TTM, is hair loss caused by someone having an irresistible urge to pull out their own hair.

Most common in women, hair is usually pulled from the scalp, eyelashes and eyebrows. As it’s a disorder, there is little to no control over a person’s urge to pull.

Here at Morgan’s we understand this. We have dealt with and helped many people with Trichotillomania.

Hormones causes of hair loss pregnancy menopause

Hair thinning in women can commonly be caused by menopause, pregnancy and other drastic hormonal changes.

Most women experience overall hair thinning rather than noticeable bald spots. The thinning can occur on the front, sides, or top of the head. Hair may also fall out in large clumps during brushing and showering.

Research suggests that hair loss during menopause is the result of a hormonal imbalance. Specifically, it’s related to a lowered production of estrogen and progesterone.
