A kind-hearted little girl has had her long locks cut short to help make wigs for children suffering with cancer and hair loss conditions.

Olivia Williams donated more than six inches of her hair to The Little Princess Trust after having the chop on Saturday.

The six-year-old Ysgol Llywelyn pupil from Rhyl took on the feat to help poorly children.

She even managed to raise more than £1,000 through sponsorship, with money still coming in.

Today, Olivia carried out her pledge at Morgan’s Hair and Beauty on Prestatyn High Street.

She said: “My hair is very long and I asked my mummy if I could have it cut short so that I can give it to the charity that makes wigs for poorly little children.

“My hair can easily grow back and I want to be able to help children who don’t have any.

“It was nice that so many people sponsored me too.”
