VAT RELIEF

VAT relief is available to people who wear wigs and/or hairpieces for necessity/medical reasons.

Customers who require wigs and/or hairpieces due to alopecia, hair loss as a result of chemotherapy treatment or any other medical hair loss condition, and is confirmed by a GP, are classed as necessity wearers.

If any of the above applies to you, you are entitled to receive the VAT off the cost of your wig and/or hairpiece at the time of purchase.

Please note: VAT exemption applies to wigs and/or hairpieces only and does not apply to accessories like headwear & headscarves.

If you are in any doubt as to whether you are eligible to receive goods or services zero-rated for VAT you should consult Notice 701/7 VAT reliefs for disabled people at HMRC or by contacting the VAT Disabled Reliefs Helpline on 0300 123 1073 before signing the declaration.

Please note, there are penalties for making false declarations.

To claim the VAT off your order please follow one of these options;

Online Purchase

Option 1 – Download the VAT exemption form here and complete it accordingly, then send it to us via email at sales@morganswigstore.com.

Please include your name, the items you wish to order and the VAT exemption form.

On completion we will provide you with a coupon code that will deduct 20% (VAT rate) off your order at checkout. We will provide this coupon code to the email that is used to send the VAT exemption form.

Option 2 – On completion of your order, you can send your VAT exemption form to us via email at sales@morganswigstore.com or post it to (please note your order number on the form)

If you are eligible for a refund, we will refund you 20% (VAT rate) off your total order to the payment method used at checkout. We will notify you via email once your refund has been processed (Can take up to 5 days)

In-Store Purchase

You must bring a completed form with you to your consultation or when your picking up your order. We will not deduct the VAT off any order without a completed exemption form.
